5 Reasons Weed Should Be Legal In Texas

This has been a very sensitive issue for years as many texans await the recreational use of weed to be legalized in texas. Through out the years it seems that the the war against weed is costing the government more money then it would to legalize it. Will the recreational use of marijauna in texas ever become a reality for texas and the wake and bake stoners?

After the Texas Legislature passed the medical bill known as the Compassionate Use Act in 2015 that legalized low-THC cannabidiol oil for patients with epilepsy, many said we are well on our way to a full legalization of marijauna in texas. Why Should Texas legalize marijauna? First off we all know there a far bigger crimes going on that the law enforcement could be taking care of such as murder and robberies and terrorism rather then arresting individuals for the minor possession of marijauna. Second it is proven to be harmless and cause zero fatalities a year in comparison alcohal and tobacco. Third seventy five percent of texans are already on board for the recreational use of marijauna which leads us to ask our selves, whats taking so long? Fourth it is known that african americans are targeted much more for marijauna related crimes which seems highly racist. Last but not least the government spends millions of dollars yearly enforcing marijauna laws. In 2010 reports say the U.S. spent over 250,000,000 million dollars doing so. Imagine what that could do for our educational system?
